Whistler Woods

I got this one in a holiday blind buy set. I received numerous pine/ green woody scents and this one definitely holds its own among the others. It’s different. More atmospheric. Woody on a soft bed of subtle smokiness. Would blend great with a bonfire element. I think if I make colognes in the future this would make for a wonderful base or middle note when creating a custom blend. I tested at 5% in my room and body spray base. This is my typical starting point for most fragrances. For powerhouse scents oob I usually test at 2%. Whistler Woods is not a slap you in the face scent oob. The IFRA category 4 is 16.2%. I will be increasing my next batch test to 10% to smell the dimensionality of this one. Rarely do I go up to 15% concentrations because I prefer and Eau de Cologne to Eau de Toilette concentration for my products, even though my base permits 30% fragrance oil at the max. My aim is for light projection since I use my room and body sprays to create atmosphere in my Lash and Brow Studio.

Don't judge out of bottle. OOB I get smokey, charred woods, earthy and damp forest scent, but in the HT, the ozone comes through giving it a fresh outdoors forest woods scent and I feel like it softness the smokey charred notes. 8.5 HT. 9/10 CT. Used in coconut/soy wax at 7% FO. This needed a longer cure time to get a stronger throw, like 4+ weeks.

I moved to a rental where the cigarette smoke smell was overwhelming. I bought three oil diffusers to constantly diffuse oil fragrance in an attempt to reduce the smell. I have tried a bunch of brands and fragrance but only Simbi made the house smell amazing! I started buying a couple of fragrance and went back and got a bunch more. I love everything!

This fragrance is amazing OOB, but I felt the hot throw wasn’t there. I ended up blending with another oil, and found the scent I was looking for!

This is a great woodsy scent but didn’t have as strong of a cold throw/hot throw as I was hoping at 8% in Titan wax. I might try at 9-10%.
