Sesame oil and rosemary leaves muddled with basil-infused sunflower oil and served above a bright burst of verbena. It’s earthy, it’s green, and it smells like you’re walking through an herb garden in a celebrity's Martha's Vineyard retreat, ready to sit down for a five course farm-to-table meal as their guest of honor.

If you’re looking for a unique scent that’s heavy on oil and verbena with an assortment of muddled green herbs in the background, this one is for you.

Top Notes: Buttery Basil Leaf, Rose Stems, Bergamot

Heart Notes: Fresh Verbena, Lily of the Valley, Lemongrass, Rosemary Leaf

Base Notes: Ambrette, Soft Sandalwood, Sesame Oil

Don’t sleep on this one

I have had Basil Sesame in my cart for some time now. I have no idea why I waited so long. It’s incredible. It’s a lovely herbal blend that compliments the sesame. The sesame is not overpowering at all. I can see this blending to create a gorgeous masculine spring scent.

Soap Review

Soap recipe information: 60% hard oils, 40% soft oils, 1.5:1 water-to-lye ratio.
This fragrance moved fast for me. I think with my recipe and water discount, it would be perfect for layers. I use the fragrance at 3%, and the scent is great. I'm not a scent expert, but it smells like a really nice herbal Asian tea to me, and for soap, I think customers are going to love it. If you're using a water discount and you have a high hard-oil recipe, just be prepared that it does accelerate, but still very workable if you're doing layers. I recommend adding the fragrance in right before you pour into your mold to give you a little bit of extra time.
I highly recommend this one though; it smells amazing!!

Excellent!

This fragrance is absolutely lovely—fresh, green, and beautifully balanced. I tested it in a car diffuser, and it smells amazing. Every fragrance I've purchased from Simbi has been of exceptional quality, and this one is no exception.

Unexpectedly fresh!

I expected this to be heavy and savory-gourmand, but to my surprise it is actually bright and herbal and pleasantly fresh! It makes a beautiful candle that I could enjoy any time of year- but am really enjoying now in early spring! I love that many Simbi fragrance oils take you on a scent journey, and this one does evolve throughout the burn. Later in the burn I pick up the sesame oil but it is complimentary and not overpowering, with the basil still front and center. I love this so much more than I expected to. It’s a great kitchen candle and would fit into a garden collection, upscale gourmand/foodie collection, or even a travel inspired collection! I don’t make cleaning products or soaps but I think this would also be a great hand soap!

Loving it

This FO has been recommended so many times and I was hesitant to purchasing because I thought It would be a strong herbal scent just based off the name. But it’s not, it’s such a beautiful scent that’s unique and high end. It’s beautiful oob and I immediately threw it into wax. I cant wait for it to cure. This scent would be stunning in a room spray or even a perfume as well, it’s that good.
