Cypress Forest™

Cypress Forest is great as a masculine or home scent but I also want to try blends with Wild Currant and Pomegranate, as well as Sacred Fig when I eventually order that one. I tested in my room and body fragrance base at 5%

I actually got this one in two different mystery bundles, but let me tell you how glad I am for that. The first time I got it, I blotted it and left it. I wasn't blown away and didn't feel inspired. Then a few months later I got it in another mystery bag and thought, "wait, don't I already have this?" I went back to the first bottle and this time, it just hit differently. I don't know if I had maybe been overwhelmed with similar scents because of holiday prep, or if maybe some olfactory receptors were off before, because this time I loved it. I placed a couple drops on diffuser beads, undiluted, and let it sit in my bathroom, and wow, what a throw. Even without warming, it comes alive once it breathes. You can smell the sweetness of the sap, the slight acidity of the balsam wood. So lovely!

I tested this fragrance at a 5% use rate in cold process soap. It behaved wonderfully in my batter, slowed down trace a little bit, and remained thin and quite fluid for a while. It has a very strong scent retention 3 days in and has no noticeable discoloration at all.

Absolutely stunning. THIS is the tree scent I’ve been searching for across all of the major fragrance suppliers. Everyone else’s offerings are too harsh - that fake Christmas smell that permeates every store around the holidays.
Not this one. This is pure forest - realistic and earthy and fresh.
