*Note: This aroma features a lot of heavy, tenacious base notes. These will give a false first impression and can also overwhelm in products if used at high usages. We recommend sampling this by letting it rest on a blotter for 1-2 days and revisiting to see a true representation. Alternatively, in your samples, start at low usage rates, as low as 3% in wax. You won't lose intensity at lower usages, however, you will get more of the full scent profile to shine through.

Great At 4%

At 4% the sweetness is subdued and the oak barrel and bourbon truly shine. I have only made this in a wax melt so far, but I LOVE my 4% fragrance wax melt, whereas the 10% was too strong. The hot throw of this one at 4% is 10/10 and I really love the vibe it gives when I have it on my warmer.

I am excited to try 1% of this with 9% ancient oak. I also am going to try this at 1% with 8% pure imagination for a boozy fantasy vibe as well. Listen to Simbi's warning that less is more with this one, it's true. Lower amounts is where this shines which is great, as you get more value for your buck.

Smells nothing like notes sugest

sad this was a fail and does not smell anything like what you would imagine Sweet Bourbon Crème to smell like. I reached out to the company, the first reply was "let it sit" - I did and 20+ days later it is still not good. My biggest issue here is that its not just "oh I don't like it" it almost smells as if something went bad, I have had others smell it to be sure it wasn't just me. Everyone has had the same reaction. This was my first and only order from Simbi - bummer because I love to spread my orders around but this one was a lesson learned.

Smells really sweet OOB but after a couple of hours on a blotter strip its not as sweet. Would like for it to have a little more woodsy, oak barrel note to it, but still a delightful fragrance as is. I blended this FO with Apple and Ancient Oak and made a tester candle with it. CT has been about a 8.5/10 after a 4 day cure. Every time I smell my tester, sometimes I get more sweet bourbon creme and sometimes I get more apple and ancient oak, so I can't wait to burn my tester! Curious to what notes will stand out more in the HT. I will update on HT in about 4-5 weeks.
